Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area!… Okay for the odd night of wanting a drink but would get fed up paying on the regular. (Not a big issue as we preferred to eat out anyways) - location - if you don’t have a car then you’ll probably struggle if wanting to walk to places however an Uber down to Manhattan beach was only 10$. breakfast - albeit a free breakfast the choice was sometimes limited and not great quality. Negatives: - some of the furniture could do with some care and attention as the tv stand and carpets could do with tidying up. Plenty of parking if bringing a car which might seem steep to pay 18$ a day but compared to other areas in the city it’s pretty reasonable. There is a bbq you can use on a first come first serve basis too. Also it is a heated pool meaning you can stay in it comfortably until it closes at 10pm. The communal areas were well kept with the pool offering plenty of space and towels for guests. The beds were very comfortable as all 3 of us had perfect nights sleep. This meant we could check in 2 hours earlier than advertised (Great welcome) The room itself was super spacious and had all the amenities you could need for a self catering apartment. They didn’t have the room available that was booked however Crystal on the front desk saw that we received a free upgrade which was a more suitable room anyway. Our check in process was straight forward. Probably haunted, overpriced for the quality of room you get, unclean, and gave off more of a Bates Motel type feeling than anything.…īased on the price we paid for our 5 night stay it is hard to fault this hotel. I’ll still continue to stay at Marriott’s as these are some of the best hotels in my opinion, but will not be coming back to the Marriott Residence Inn Los Angeles Redondo Beach location. After having stayed with Marriott multiple times in the past and loved it, this stay was very disappointing and very unprofessional on Marriott’s end. At about 3:00am the TV randomly turned on and started playing at full volume which was the cherry on top! Thankfully the continental breakfast that the hotel offered was very good, but that’s it. When we arrived the first night we had to plug back in the TV modem so the TV would work and when we went to bed the first night we had three mosquitos flying around the bedroom that we had to find and kill so they would stop landing on our faces. The bathroom’s tissue box looked like it had dried residue on it, the bathrooms sliding closet door looked like it was broke and very quickly fixed without refinishing it, the toilet handle was broken but still useable, the headboard had holes in it as well, and the door to the bedroom and the bathroom wouldn’t open at the same time as they’d run into each other. When we got to our room (room 104) it didn’t have that much lighting, the carpet had spots that were torn up and worn down, the tile near the entryway looked dirty and scuffed up like people had just recently renovated the room but for the worse and forgot to clean up after the renovation process, and the walls had holes and dents in them throughout the room. Nobody’s dream job is to be behind that desk, but at least portray it like you enjoy your job just for the guests sake. When we checked in the receptionist was nice but somewhat passive and didn’t seem like she wanted to be a receptionist at all. Me, my wife, and our family friend came to LA to go to a Harry Styles concert on November 5th.
